My regent came in yesterday...
I've read so many post about people having trouble with installs... While I have no pictures of my install, I will describe it.

It took about 5-10 minutes... I did just how the instruction manual said to install it... the only question I really have is this. My seat belt buckle comes up right up under the seat.. I'll probalby have to take pictures to show. but you can route the seat belt by the short belt path and right as it comes out of the back of the carseat you can snap it in... Does that sound safe? I do route the seat belt under the reclining bar like it says but what I'm saying is the belt buckle latches into the thingy.. (I can't think of the word for it) right as it comes out of the carseat

The seat won't budge, it's sitting upright and all looks fine with it... Does this sound like an okay install?

maybe later I can post some pictures just to be sure. I do have a chevy lumina...

It can be. As long as you're following the vehicle and carseat manuals and it moves less than 1" in any direction at the beltpath, I'd call it good. After a few tries, it won't even take you 5-10 minutes anymore. :)

I'm not sure what you're asking about the buckle and seatbelt routing. Is the latchplate pushing against the shell? That might be an issue if you have locking latchplates. If so, it can be remedied by twisting the buckle stalk up to three full twists. Otherwise, it's fine as long as it's properly tight. Make sure to check it regularly for tightness to be sure it doesn't loosen over time.

Are you talking about that the buckle end of the seatbelt pokes into the seating portion of the regent? On my regent where I use the short belt path, my buckle does extend somewhat into seating area. If I twist the buckle once, it usually lowers it down just enough to make it not uncomfortable when my daughter is sitting in the seat.

I can get my regent installed pretty quickly into my car. Once you have done it a few times, it really can be easy (though it isn't something I want to do frequently since that seat is so heavy and big).

Are you installing with a lap/shoulder belt or a lapbelt only? I ask b/c with a lap/shoulder belt you don't feed the seatbelt under the recline bar but you do on a lap belt. This is for short belt path only.

As for the belt buckle try twisting the belt stalk (female end) 3 full twist to help move it back down towards the vehicle seat bit. The belt stalks in GM vehicles are known for a lot of webbing on the belt stalk. This is my issue in dh truck. We have an older Regent (pre advisory) and I can't get it installed per the new manuals due to the long belt stalk. Thank goodness Britax said this was an advisory and not a recall were we would be forced.

In my truck it takes me just a few minutes to get the girls Regents in per the new manuals. We have 1 old Regent & a new one. Yes, I have 3 Regents.
