We're getting ready to go on vacation and we're taking a 2008 Town & Country. I LOVE the idea that I can turn the quads around so my littler kids can actually talk with the older kids.
My question is this:
If the actual seat of the car is rear facing, should I install my car seat facing the rear of the car, or is it safer to install with her facing the back of the seat?
I know that sounds really weird, but I'm having a hard time wording it correctly.
Any help is appreciated!
I think this has been discussed before -- I'm not sure and I can't seem to find the thread...
But I don't think you can "swivel" the seats if a child restraint is installed on the seat.
It should be covered in the van's manual...will you have a chance to read over it before needing to leave?

You can only install car seats on forward-facing vehicle seats. Period. Also, I beleive that Chrysler requires the vehicle seats to be facing the front of the vehicle when the vehicle is in motion. Read your manual to be sure.

The previous poster is correct. Chrysler states the swivel and go seats must face the front of the vehicle if child restraints are installed upon them. The instructions for any child restraint, belt positioning boosters included, also prohibit their installation on a rear facing vehicle seat (or a side facing vehicle seat).
If the older kids are no longer in child restraints and pass the 5-step test (http://www.carseat.org/Boosters/630.htm) to forgo using a booster, then you could have them ride in the swivel and go seats facing the rear of the vehicle, with the child restraints installed for the younger kiddos in the third row.

Thanks Guys.
We're renting the van and I wasn't sure whether the rental agency would include the manual with the rental. (Some do, some don't.)
The input was appreciated!
