What is the best carseat for this car? I bought the Evenflo Triumph and the latch belt is not long enough. I have been using the latch system in my car (at least I hope it's latch) but there are 2 metal things under each side of the middle seat. I want a Britax but not sure which one fits best. Anyone have a S60???

I'm bumping this up, but still don't have much time to post. You'll need to register to answer any of the questions! As far as I know, Volvo does not allow you to use lower anchors in the center position--you are borrowing one from either set, as I am almost positive that Volvo does not have 3 sets. (My '04 V70 doesn't)
That right there may contribute to your LATCH strap not being long enough, as Volvo's anchors are deep in the seat.
So, for the questions...you may not have to buy a new seat, unless you want to, and then there are lots of people who would help you pick out a new one! :whistle:
How big and old is the child?
Is the seat forward or rear facing?
Is the Triumph that you have one of the older ones or a new one?
Do you have the vehicle and car seat manual?
Do your headrests remove in your car? (Mine don't, and it can make for some interesting installs with some seats)

The previous poster is correct. Volvo's do not have center LATCH anchors and do not allow 'borrowing' the innermost anchors from the side seating positions. If you wish to have a center installation, you need to switch to using the seatbelt and check to see you can get a good installation in that position using that method.
