I bought 2 Britax Regents a couple of weeks ago. So far we love them. However, he need 2 anchors installed in the rear of our van on both sides. It is a ford E150 van. It is a Regency conversion van if that matters to anyone. I have called our local Ford dealer (Olathe, Kansas) a few times. They are worthless!! Today they told me anchors are no longer available! What??!! I have called the 1-800 number and emailed a person from Ford (Kelley). No one seems to be able to help me. The email I got did have the Program R7C attached (because I asked for it). Our van is 2002. The R7C said it only goes up to 2001. I told our dealer about the program so THEY could research it but I don't even think they cared. Does anyone have any info that could help me get somewhere closer to getting tethers installed? And does anyone know if there are holes pre-drilled in a E150? If so, I could hopefully find someone that would sell the tether anchors and just install them myself.
Thanks so much!!

Hmmm, the closest model match I can find in my LATCH manual would be a 2002 Ford Econoline E150 van, which is supposed to already be equipped with factory top tether anchors in certain seating positions. The factory equipped top tether anchors locations are on the front passenger seat, in the second row center, both second row outboard seating positions, and in the third row center. The LATCH manual doesn't indicate more tether anchors can be added in the '02 model, and it unfortunately doesn't describe the factory equipped ones in more detail (such as whether the anchors are on the seatbacks or on the seat frame or vehicle floor). Usually vehicles with factory equipped top tether anchors cannot have additional anchors installed. So it would seem you have anchors already in your van, based on the LATCH manual. Hopefully you're able to install the Regents in the second row and/or the third row center seating positions where those anchors are located.

I may have to consider re-arranging all the seats. I have 4 kids. I have them arranged the way I do for different reasons. I was hoping to keep the regents in the back so my son doesn't push buttons in the middle row which are caption chairs. I would love to have anchors in the back though. By the way, the anchor is on the floor in the back row center and they are on the seats in the middle row.
Thanks for your reply!!
