I had searched the Wal-Mart site daily and the closest one was 46 miles away. In traffic, that would 1 1/2 hours. Then today, I checked and - voila! One was 12 miles away. I jumped off the sofa, told DH I'd be back soon, and took off.
There was only one, and I bought it. I wanted to fiddle with it first, but there wasn't one on display.
I installed it and it is SOLID. HEAVY. I like it, but I'm not in love with it. I'll see with DS thinks of it when he gets home and then decide whether or not to keep it. I guess the main thing I don't like is there's not much EPS/EPP foam - only in the headrest. I'm curious about how good the True Fit is going to be b/c it is supposedly lined with EPS/EPP foam throughout.
But it is definitely a solid seat - doesn't feel very Graco-ish - :p

Sound like something I would do . I say I am going to town, just not which town...LOL. Glad you got one.

OMG! WHERE!?!?!
I have been at the Fair Lakes Wal-Mart about eight times in the past two weeks. I have also been at the Sterling Wal-Mart about four times in the past two weeks. No seats.
I AM SO JEALOUS! (Not yelling, just being clear! :p)

I PM'd you... There weren't any on display and only one on the shelf, but the website says it's still "in stock" there. Not sure how often they update it...?

I don't have booster or even ff-ing age/weight children....and with all the talk on this seat, I find myself checking wal-mart.com just because I want to see one IRL ;-)

I think you might find that you like it. Everyone here keeps reminding us that the EPS/EPP foam is really only needed in the head area....We love ours, and it is a rock solid install. Looking at my DD in it, I feel "better" somehow- she's in the center, it's a great install, AND her little head is surrounded MUCH better than outboard in the Radian. I hope your DS likes it- my DD says it's very comfy (and she only likes velvet!)

Are the top harness slots in the True Fit going to be as tall as the Nautilus??

I think the True Fit slots are 18" according to another thread. I haven't measured the Nautilus but I believe that's what it is as well...? Not sure.
