Ok, this is gonna sound weird, but I've been thinking about how the seat belt fits me and Julie's thread reminded me of this.

It really doesn't feel like the lapbelt part goes over my thighs at all, like how dd's harness fits. The belt is never facing down and lying flat on me, it's always facing in, towards me. Does that make sense? And if it's facing me it's touching my lower ab. I remember when I was pregnant with dd always pulling it down and I still feel like I need to do it sometimes. I'm 5'5" and 100lbs. But, I've noticed it seems like the seatbelt does the same thing on my dh, and he's like 5'11.

So, am I safe or I am gonna submarine? I'm not that short, but I'm pretty tinny and have NO hips!

And does anyone have a pic of themselves wearing a belt so I can see how it's supposed to look? I'll try a get a pic of me tomorrow!

I've often thought the same thing but then I check it in comparison to my bones, and it's OK. But then, my seat has height control and I put it up all the way, I'm not sure how it would be if I was at the bottom or didn't have height control.

On the other hand, when I sit between my kids in the Odyssey's 8th seat, the belt seems high on my neck. It's not actually on my neck, but it's much closer to it than it is in my driver's seat. Maybe I should sit in a booster there.
