Can't find tether in 01 XTerra

My sister has a 01 Nissan XTerra and we can't find the tether. Can anyone help?

According to my LATCH manual, they're located in the cargo area (and there should be three of them, one for each rear seating position).

I'm almost positive my MIL's Xterra is an '01, and her tether anchors are under some little flaps of carpet in the cargo area. HTH!
