I installed by EFTA last night in an 02 impala outboard with ALR seatbelt. I lifted the cover to tighten it and I noticed the seatbelt path is right where the crotch strap was. If I put the crotch strap behind the seatbelt it was squished and I I pulled it in front of the seatbelt it was at a wierd angle. Why do they make the seatbelt go across right there?? Is that ok if it is pushing the crotch strap forward? I can't figure out another way it would work. Also, I got a great install, very solid but I noticed the seat belt digs pretty far into the EPS foam. It will leave a very permanent indent. Is that ok??

I believe in the manual for the EFTA it tells you exactly where to place the seatbelt, which I believe the crotch strap needs to be above the seatbelt. Now I'm going off memory but I think it's in there.

Yes, the manual says to have the belt behind the buckle - as in towards baby's bum.
I wouldn't worry about the sides of the EPP foam getting indented. On the very outer edge of the belt path the foam isn't doing anything to protect baby anyways and it seems rather unavoidable with a tight belt.
My seat is installed with LATCH, but I'll have to look when it warms up and see what kind of wear is happening on ours. It's been in the truck for a week now.. not sure if that's long enough to see anything or not. :shrug-shoulders:

You're not going to check today are you? Minus 49 degrees celsius with the windchill is just too freaking cold and I still have to go pick Aiden up from school later. :crying:
Okay... back on topic. ;)
