Britax Decathlon FS

I have Avi's Britax MA and DC for sale. One seat can be sold now because i have the Regent, the other will need to wait until we get the 2nd Regent. The DC's DOM is March 05, the MA's DOM is July 05. The DC is the blue/gray dotted fabric that was a BRU exclusive, I believe. We are not sure where the infant padding is, but I have all other padding and an extra belly pad. The gray comfort foam on the DC was just replaced because there was a spot that was coming apart. The harness has a few spots on it but they are only cosmetic things IMHO. I have pics of the DC and will be taking MA pics later on this week. $100 OBO for either seat, plus shipping. I am not sure how much shipping would be, or how to ship a car seat. If anyone has advice on this I would appreciate it. I have a Regent box I could try to modify for the seat, not sure if that would work.

I spoke to Britax today and they are sending me the two pieces of EPS foam for the bottom of the seat as well as a new Onyx cover. I should have the cover in 3-5 days.

Just an observation...the foam is missing from the bottom of your DC (those empty grooves under the grey foam should be stuffed with rectangles of EPS) :o (Britax can send you some free if it accidentally got tossed out, though)

Also even if your seat is out of warrenty britax may send you a free cover of your choice for the fading to the Sun.They did for me at least on my DC and it is out of warrenty,I got to keep the old cover too.

I'd like to see the pics of the Marathon. I may be able to come up with that money to finally have enough seats to stay installed in both cars :)

Thanks for the tip. I called Britax today and the woman said that they would send me an Onyx cover free of charge. They are also supposed to send me the two pieces of EPS foam. I do not particularly like the Onyx but since I want to sell this seat I am not upset, if I was going to keep the seat I would have tried to get a different cover. Now I want to look at the MA and see if there is any fading from the sun I should call and complain about.

How do I go about finding out shipping costs? Should I package the seat up and weigh it? I know the seat is around 20 lbs but I would either need to purchase a box or use the Regent box that I have.

I used to hate it but after having it in my car for 6 months straight and a year and a half on/off I like it, a lot more than the Sahara. I don't really like any of the Regent covers :(.

Fedex is the cheapest I have found to ship a seat. I shipped a MA for $25.

ETA: I just went o Fedex and put in a random LA zip to your zip and it was $18.xx

DHL is the cheapest to ship seats according to dhardawa. That is who she uses to ship her seats.

I am glad they did that for you,when I called I didn't except to get a new cover at all because well I had never needed their CS for anything before that and didn't know how they were,I was so happy that they replaced it for me;)
