The inboard anchors are a real pain in the rear end. The seatbelt buckles come out of the same section of the seat bite and make it very difficult to access the inside lower anchor. The outside anchor (i.e., by the door) is not as difficult, but is buried pretty well in the seat bite.

I actually gave up and used the seatbelt for Joy's MA. I'll try LATCH again Friday when SIL takes Joy to dance, but it looks like for this vehicle LATCH is NOT easier than the seatbelt. Especially if you have standard LATCH clips and not the alligator style.

I've only messed with this car once, and the grandpa had a Safeguard Go LATCH installed in the center (against the manual) and he refused to switch it. I told him I don't reco it and I wouldn't be involved in his decision to do it and walked away. I noticed that the LATCH was a bit of a PITA in it though.

The IMMI LATCH is a huge PITA in my Outlook. The anchors are close to the seat and the seat bite is very tight. It makes it hard to fit the IMMI clips let alone position them so that they latch on. It's actually made me develop a dislike for the IMMI clips in my truck.

The nissan Sentra with the slits in the seat fabric are also a huge pain with the IMMI clips because it's difficult to fit them through the slits.

You'd think manufacturers might think about how easy it is to actually attach a lower anchor when they design their seats. My old ION was so easy... Ff'ing with my MA I don't even both with LATCH. At least the IMMI clips are easy to release though. It sucks to know there's yet another car out there with anchors that are in a pain in the butt location. LATCH doesn't do parents much good if the anchors are hard to acceses.

My mom's car has really deep LATCH anchors, too. It's a Mercury Grand Marquis. It was the first vehicle I ever used LATCH in, and that was with the Britax hooks, and I remember thinking at the time that it was almost more trouble than it was worth!

The biggest issue with the LATCH anchor is that for the outbpard seats (especially passenger outboard) the seatbelt buckles for the outboard & center seats are almost blocking the inner LATCH anchor.

I'm going to try again, but the seatbelt install was almost effortless.
