Is there anyone in Calgary that could check if their local Sears, Wal-Mart or ToysRUs has the Triumph Advance? I'll be in Calgary this weekend and would like to pick one up.

I was in Chinook this weekend and they did not have it yet.
Haven't seen anything new at Walmart either.
If they are just hitting Ontario, it may be a few weeks before they make it over here. :(
I have to go in tomorrow... so I'll try and check out TRU if I get a chance.

Rats! I'll cross my fingers and hope maybe it shows up by the end of this week. I'll call around to the stores while we're there.

I was at Toys R Us today and they said it would be in in February. Sears had no idea, and I haven't made it to Wal Mart yet.

I'm expecting it to be at Sears and wal-mart about the same time... when I was at wal-mart tonight they had seats that were about 6wks past DOM and the evenflo seats said mod of Jan 5 on them. We know that Evenflo shipped to wal-mart last week, so I'm guessing end of this month or beginning of Feb is when it'll show up there.
I also saw the graco seats with DOM of Nov 30, so I'm thinking there's a good chance that the nautilus could be sitting in the back waiting for the official release date that has been mentioned in a few threads from the US wal-marts. Oh, and there was a single compass booster still wrapped on a pallet marked as display model only, so it looks like our wal-mart will also be carrying compass boosters now.
Our wal-mart has totally revamped it's car seat section... now if only they'd get rid of the broken and abused AO that's been there for well over a year...

I put an ETA on hold at Sears North Hill, and they called today to say it was in. So I am assuming that the seat has made it to Alberta now.

Woohoo! And it's on sale for $135? Right on.
(Guess I'm making a trip to the mall tonight to peruse the seats - you figure if Calgary has it Edmonton has it?)

I've merged the Calgary triumph advance thread and the Alberta triumph advance thread since some of the posts were in common and contained the same info. Just so that nobody thinks the other thread disappeared completely or anything. The posts from that thread and from this one are together in the chronological order that they were posted.
(The redirect for the other thread to this one will disappear in a weeks time.)

Our mall had 5 - well, 4 by the time I got there and 3 when I left. ;)
I have pic's of the kids in the seat here in the house, but will have to wait for truck pic's until tomorrow when it's light out.
(Yes, I really did take out ds's MA and put in the Triumph Advance when it was -16 out. :ROTFLMAO: )

I was in Calgary over the weekend, and was at 3 different Wal-Marts, none of them had it, and I called every ToysRus, none had it. We were so busy that it was hard to stop at a Sears, so I didn't and I guess I should have! ARGH!
I want to get the Black Ice for my parents car, and if I like it enough I want to get one for our vehicle too, I just hope we get another colour in the brown shades because we got a new vehicle with gorgeous taupe leather and the black won't look as nice! :D

Ooooo... what vehicle did you end up getting? :)

Ooooo... what vehicle did you end up getting? :)Our original plan was to get the Toyota Highlander (which I think I mentioned to you when I met you) but we ended up with an '08 Acura MDX! The SafeSeat doesn't fit the greatest in the 2nd row, well it fits, but the passenger seat has to be further forward then we like. It's because they make the 2nd row seats super nice and curved to fit your body so the SafeSeat won't go all the way back and touch the seat back, rather it touches the outer sides (that curve forward around your body). That's what makes it be closer to the passenger seat. So, not sure what this means for RF convertibles for us. Although the Radian is usually longer RF, because it's narrower it might sit closer to the seat back than others, hard to say. Looks like I'm going to have to try the Radian, Marathon, and ETA to see which one works best!
Another alternative is to put the baby in the centre position which has a flat seat back compared to the outboard seats. The back seat is nice and wide, thus a seat in the centre shouldn't bother outboard passengers at all. Not sure if a seat there will block our rear view though, will have to see I guess.

Someone's already been out test driving that vehicle...
Yeah, it's really nice. The Marathon and the Radian both fit well... FFing and RFing. ;) I can also tell you that one FFing Radian, one RFing Radian, and one RFing Marathon did not block my view at all in the three across test drive we did. :D
The EFTA wasn't out when I was having my fun. :D
Congratulations on your new ride!

Congratulations on your new ride! Thanks! The seats are soooo comfy in both the 1st and 2nd row that it was like flying 1st class in an airplane on the long drive home. :)

Yep, RFing Radian was in the center. :)
Although I had a RFing Radian behind the driver's seat in an '08 CX-9 and there was still room for me to drive (5'7")... pretty sure the MDX had more space in the back seat than the CX-9.
