Is the carseat bigger then the snugrides? I know the snugride I currently use for a little boy I do daycare for says up to 26" so just wondering if the 30" on your keyfit, makes enough difference to hold a baby longer.

Sorry to butt in, but yes, it holds a child much longer than the old 20lb/26 inch snugride. Here's my dd at almost a year, almost outgrowing her Key Fit: http://picasaweb.google.com/joolstag/LeahInCarseats/photo#5015871597836312962 She would have outgrown that older Snugride at about 5 months old.

Thanks that helps alot, I see you have experiance also with the ss1, can I ask how much longer it lasted over the keyfit?

Yup, http://picasaweb.google.com/joolstag/LeahInCarseats/photo#5101172270539604018 it fit my kid about 8-10 months longer than the Key Fit (Though I thought the Key Fit was overall a nicer seat, easier to install and use properly by just a smidge...I was so sad when she outgrew it!)
