5 Point Harnessed only up to 18Kg in Germany

Hello,
I find this forum and cant believe, that in the USA are so much seats with harness are for childs with more than 40lbs. In germany
we had one seat, up to 25Kg. Actually the end is 18Kg. Of course, harness is much safer as an booster....i dont understand, that in germany is no seat with harness up to 80lbs. Is it possible to buy a seat and sending to germany? The dealer on ebay are not interested to sell a seat to germany. (Perhaps more than one...)?
The forum is great and i can get so much informations....

check german carseat laws. they may or may not allow other seats made for other countries to be used in germany. if they do, then you can look for options in the US, provided you can find a seller who is willing to ship overseas.

ulrikeDG and morganthe are two members here who have lived on US bases in germany and may be likely to know a little about german laws in this regard.
