Our SUV came with a built-in, flip down from ceiling DVD screen. It also has a hard, plastic remote built into the ceiling that you can pop out and hold as a remote, by pressing a button.
My DD is Center, RF, in convertible seat. This makes these pieces awfully close to her head.
Anybody know how safe/unsafe this is?

I have no idea. One would think the thing has been crash-tested and designed not to fly out though....anyone else want to weigh in?

i wouldn't worry too much about a lightweight remote.

You could always do like we did, and lose the remote. No issue of it's safety now:cool:

You could keep it in the glove box it you're worried about it too, or maybe a center console if you have one.

I have an overhead built in dvd system in my Tahoe. Man I love that thing on long trips. I keep our remote in the center console. It's easy for me to access but not a flying projectile either.
