I have been reading all of the great information that has been posted on this board. Thanks to every one for their detailed posts.

I getting ready to install a Britax Boulevard in a 2003 Honda Accord.

I was wondering if anyone had a recomendation for the location of the tether for the rear-facing installation?

I looked under the seats but did not see a great location. I am looking to install the seat in the center position.

Any help would be great.

Thanks in advance.

I would look on the track for either front seat. Often there is plastic covering a "leg". The plastic can be removed many times, and that spot makes a great tether.

I agree with this. You can check for any solid bars that may be under the seat too as long as they are not movable.

So are you in Tucson? If so I have some tech connections up there. Or if you want to travel to Sierra Vista I would be happy to help you.

I thought I had a good picture of the RF tether attached to the seat track, but I don't.

What I did was move the passenger seat ALL THE WAY UP (into the dash), hook the D-ring under the track, pull it ALL THE WAY towards the back of the car (so it slips under the plastic cover that covers the ends of the track), and then loop it through itself. THEN I moved the passenger seat back where it "belonged." It didn't interfere with the D-ring at all. It worked quite well!

I've done it in my Mom's 2003 Accord around the passenger seat leg. I think it might make it so you can't adjust the front seat but I think I got it pretty far back so it left plenty of front passenger room. I believe it was pretty hard to get the D ring under the part though. I just worked the hard ring end under there though and got it around. Hmm...maybe it wasn't a seat leg, but there was something there that was bolted down right to the floor that I used. Maybe you can post a pic of the underside of the seat you wish to use? I can look next time I see my mom too.

This is TucsonDad now as a registered user.

Thanks for all of your help and assistance with this.

I did locate a place for the tether. At the end of the seat rail for the passenger seat there is a plastic cap that covers the leg that is bolted to the floor. Once I removed that cap the leg was a great place to attach the D-Ring and the tether.

The install went well. I am sure that I will get better at this once I have done this a few more times. :)

Seems like a solid installation. I will take this to a local tech later today and have them check this out to make sure that I did not miss anything.

This forum has been great, thanks again for the help and the quick responses.
