I posted a few weeks ago about trying to install my Marathon RF in DH's 1993 Ford Explorer. He doesn't have LATCH or locking seat belts, so the lockoffs are required. Every time I would get the seat installed and the lockoffs latched and wiggle the seat, the lockoffs would pop open. I called Britax on a recommendation from my previous post and they sent me replacement lockoffs at no charge. I finally got around to actually replacing the lockoffs and the new ones look exactly the same as the ones already on my seat! Is that normal? Is there just some difference that my untrained eye can't see? I don't want to go through the trouble of replacing the lockoffs if it's not going to do any good. *sigh*

Depending on how old your Marathon is, the lockoffs may get to be installed the opposite direction, so more of the force of the belt is on the hinge instead of the clip. If your Marathon is new they will go on the same way....and in that case we'll have to give you advice on how to line up the belts and the seat so that they don't pop open.

The DOM is early to mid 2006 (I can't remember exactly) and the current lockoff opens away from the back of the seat.
