I believe it's China as well. Only Britax seats are manufactured in the USA. They do have a few non-US parts though (I THINK).

i'm really not sure about the new ones. our 11/06 build YS was built in the US. the DOM was less than one week before it arrived on my doorstep, direct from recaro in michigan. there's no way it was made in china.

My Recaro Vivo was made in China. DOM Feb 13, 2007. Not a Recaro Young Sport, but its the same manufacturer so I would think they are all made in China.

no. why would one make that assumption, especially in light of my response above? are all nissans made in japan? are all chevys made in the US?

as i said before, my YS is not made in china, so obviously not all recaros are.

in addition, the recaro start and young style are both also "Engineered in Germany, manufactured in the USA."

it appears that only the new line of recaros introduced since 2007 (vivo, vivo lite, como, signo) are made in china.

Hey, don't worry about it! Maybe some are, some aren't maybe they air shipped, best way to know for sure, is to look at your seat. Problem solved.

i'm making an assumption as well, and that is that we're talking about recaro seats *sold* in the US. if we were in germany, i'd suspect the YS's sold there are german-made.
