Even if that combo doesn't fit, another combo should. Buying a new seat is much cheaper than buying a new car.

Does anyone have any recommendations for seat that might do the trick or have some pictures of a Volvo with 3 seats in it?

We have the same issue. Expecting 3rd in a few months. Need car seats to fit across Volvo XC70. How can a full size wagon not be adequate for 3 kids?
