I was just given a lovely green Emmaljunga Viking with toddler seat and bassinet. I don't plan on using it on trips - just for walks around the neighborhood. It is 10 yrs old, but in excellent condition. There is some rust on the frame which I plan on removing with a Dremel rotary tool, but I was wondering if it's possible to take the lining off to wash it etc.

If anyone has any ideas, or knows where I could find instructions, they would be greatly appreciated!

TIA!

There are a lot of great tips on stroller restoration in this Yahoo group: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/StrollerSWAP/

I got a "new to me" Emmaljunga over the summer off Craigslist! It was funny b/c I was actually 2nd in line but the 1st folks brought it back...not what they were looking for:eek: Anyways I snatched it up. It has the bassinet and toddler seat also and the main seat is reversible. No real rust, has been well kept, but the cover shows fading. I wiped it down with a damp cloth and having just been using it & LOVING IT but I would love to update mine too. Namely I've been thinking to strip the color and re-dye in a funky modern color like ORANGE + CHOCOLATE :p I'm looking forward to hearing what you find out and I will dig out the manual that came with mine and see if it can be machine washed and get back to you.
Great topic  Good luck.
