I need a Toddler Board that will snap on the back of different strollers. I have a 4 year old and a 2 week old and havn't bought a stroller yet because I want a toddler board for 4yo. I was thinking I could buy the board and then buy a stroller it will work with. I have $400 to spend. Any suggestions for board and stroller. I've tried the P3 and the step on the back of it is way to small for a child to ride on for any reasonable amount of time. DS made it about 2 isles in BRU before he said it hurt his toes. What were they thinking? A kid can't be expected to hang by his toes to ride.

I haven't tested one out but I'd defiantely buy the board and then go find a stroller because not all strollers are compatible with them.. there needs to be enough room between the back of the stroller seat and the handbars.
It's funny because DS (3) loves going on the P3 bar.. he doesn't hang by his toes... he has the middle of his foot on it.

You may want to peek at this stroller:

http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?dest=9999999997&product_id=5246099&sourceid=1500000000000003260330

I've seen it in use A LOT at the zoo, etc and I've asked the parents about it and they really like it - kid can stand but can also sit if child gets tired. . . has decent storage, too they say.

just thought i'd put it out there as an option. ..

I've played with the Joovy one at Babies R Us and it is not what I want at all. It is hard to steer and doesn't corner well at all.

There are two different types of toddler boards (Buggy Board and Kiddie Board).

Here is some information (and a fitting guide!!!!) for the Buggy Board. (http://www.buggyboard.info/category.php)

http://www.buggyboard.info/images/categories/6/image.jpghttp://www.buggyboard.info/images/categories/2/image.jpg

Click the link. It will help you choose a stroller that the Buggy Board will fit. It will tell you HOW WELL and EASILY it fits too. :)
For example, here is the information on how it fits a Maclaren Quest: http://www.buggyboard.info/page.php?buggy=117

There is also the Kiddy Board. (http://www.regallager.com/products/la/kiddyboardmaxi.aspx)

I hope this helps! :D

What about a Valco with their "hitchrider"?

I have both a Buggy Board and a Kiddy Board, and I disagree with the suggestion to get the board first. They are widely compatible (even more so now than they were 4 years ago when I got mine), but each works better on some strollers than others. I suggest finding the stroller that you want (or at least narrowing it down to 2-3), and then figuring out which board will work best on it.

Also, at that age, I found it was most convenient just to sling the baby and let the child ride in the stroller. When the baby got heavier and wigglier, then I started to let her ride in the stroller with the toddler on back.

I don't think any boards work with the Baby Jogger II or Baby Jogger Performance Series either.

I'm not positive, but I don't think they do.

I can't imagine *how* you would attach it to either the II series or the Performance series.:confused:

Ok, I'm getting a Zooper Waltz and want to hook a board to it. I do plan on slinging baby and letting 4 year old ride but want a board eventually. I'm saving my money for a Valco Stroller and board. It would be great if the Valco board would hook up to the Zooper. Anyone know if it does?

I am not familiar with too many boards but the Buggy Board doesn't work w/ the Zooper Sport and the Waltz is the new version of the Sport. The canopy gets in the way. HTH

Well I didn't get the Zooper. I'm bidding on a P3 on Ebay and winning with 4 hrs to go.

Yep $81.00 + $20 shipping. Its a 2006, black and gray or silver fabric. I'm also getting the Zooper Waltz and saving my pennies for a Jogging stroller for Baby Boot Camp this spring. Can't have too many strollers.
