I currantly have a Phil & Ted's e3.

Me and husband recently started walking daily on uneven paved road. Up now, our e3 has been more than adaquate for the odd outting or trip to the mall. Now I have noticed that my knees are knocking the doubles kit and it pulls to the right quite a bit. In the highest positon the handle is too short for my 6'4 husband. (I am 5'2) and his feet kick the underside of the doubles kit.

So I guess what we are looking for is a double that would be comfortable for both of use to push. It has to be VERY smooth to push and easy to steer. I prefer it to have a somewhat compact fold and be able to use it as a very occaisional mall stroller. My kids are 14 months (24 lbs) and 2.5 (34 lbs).

Thanks in advance!

I think I am trying to decide between a Bob Revolution Duallie, a Mountain Buggie Urban Double, or a Baby Jogger City Series Double. Anyone have or drove one of these want to chime in?

Everything that you are describing seems to be a perfect match with the Baby Jogger. It will have an adjustable handlebar that goes completely vertical up and down. My 2 year old could push it, that's how low it goes. It also goes ridiculously high, so your husband would be very happy :)

It has a very small quick and easy fold. It slides easily into my husbands small VW Passat trunk. The wheels *do* pop off very easily if need be.

All 3 of those strollers are awesome, but the Baby Jogger IMO is the best for an "everything, everyday" kind of stroller. I take mine everywhere, including *mostly* shopping. It is easy to manuveur through doorways, and elevators.

It pushes like a dream (much easier than the p&T's), and is very balanced, so steers with just two fingers.

Good Luck Arly!!

OH, I forgot to mention..

My new Mountain Buggy is shipping TODAY!! WOOT! This is the stroller I originally wanted, so now I am getting it!

So, I will let you know what I think of it compared to the Baby Jogger when I get it next week. Supposedly though everyone recommends the MBUD over the Baby Jogger, BOB, and Valco!
I guess it pushes a LOT better, and is narrower. It is more expensive, so I would expect more :)

I love me my MBUS, and the MBUD is only a bit more bulky. I wonder if www.returnsforsale.com has any for cheap...or join StrollerSWAP at groups.yahoo.com and see what's going around for a good price...

we have a burley bike trailer with a jogger stroller attchment. is is really nice to have we can walk, jog, and bike with it. it hold up to 100lbs of cargo ( or children ) the handle bar adjust in to different positions I myself am only 5'1 and my DH is 6'2 so pretty much same situation as you and we both and stroll it with no prob. both my kids fit in it great 6yo and 4yo. which they would be way to big for a normal stroller, but they can't keep up with us when were out. it also fold up nicely to fit in our explorer, I do have a friend that had a 4 door buick and she was also able to get it into her car. This is something I would definetly recommend if you use it for exercising.

YES YES!! I did I did!!

We are taking it out on it's Maiden voyage today to the Pumpkin Patch.

First impressions:

MUCH smaller than the Baby Jogger (lengthwise, width, and height)
Better for somebody shorter, and going in crowded areas

LOVE the suspension

The green is an odd shade, but I like it

I like how I can actually *see* my kids because it is so short

I like the metal footplate..looks much nicer imo than the baby jogger

the steering is AMAZING! When you first push it, it feel the same as the baby jogger, but when you go to turn it it seems to want to turn on it's own..it's weird LOL!!

Ok, I have to go for now..lunchtime!

I just tried this returnsforsale.com last week. I was able to get a baby jogger q series triple stroller new in the box (It was a close out) cheap! I hesitated because of these being returns and condition etc so I called on this one. It works great for Karley age 27 mo and the two daycare babies age 20 mo and 10 mo. I sooo want one of those mountain buggy urban double or baby jogger city double strollers. My one daycare child comes 2 days one week and 4 days the next week. The other child is a 5 day a week and his mom is a teacher so I get school holidays off and summers off. I'd love to have a double with the front swivel wheels to add to my collection but just can't justify it. (Can't afford it either right now.) I do use the triple with two kids and it works just fine. Just wide and no swivel wheel.

Melissa, Post photos of that awesome green stroller you got!!! :D We'd love to see it!!!

Arly, Have you bought anything yet? Tell us what you decide!!!

Wow, I just went on that returnsforsale site and there is a MBUD for $94, but it says it is a refurbished 2005 model. Has there been any big changes of this model in the last few years or is it the same frame pretty much?

Damn! Guess it was snatched up just that quick. I should have bought it at that price no matter what. Oh well.
I have an Instep double jogger now but I am really unhappy with the fixed front wheel and the basket hangs so low that it drags the ground and it is coming apart.

It is so much smaller feeling than my Baby Jogger, but yet the seats are wider, and more comfy IMO. Not that my rear would *fit* in one of the seats or anything.. :p

ETA: haha I just realized my kids made the shot in the last photo LOL!!

totally off topic as well...
is there such a thing as a infant carseat adapter for the MBUD?

I'm planning/hoping for the next DC, we really like the P&T's for the versatility, but I really like the MBUD too.
