Is there a stroller out there that has a cover that can be removed for washing?? I can't seem to find one and we need one on our infant unit of our hospital.
Thanks!!!
They are all washable, but you have to take screws out to do it.

you might want to look into a runabout stroller.
only thing is, i think the smallest they make is double strollers.
but at least it'll get you in the right direction - an easy to clean stroller. :)
i have a triple and LOVE IT! you can hose it off even if you wanted. *grin* (I have mud monsters.)

you know, I forgot about my last stroller. I had a zooper zydeco and I ADORED IT!!! It had easy to remove seats, everything and the cover was easy to slip on/off - i washed it many, many times and it still looked like new.
something else to consider. it's also in the jogger stroller style, though - and i had my 3 month old in it and he was happy as a clam! all toasty warm with all the accessories that came with it. (i had the warm boot, etc.)

only reason i got rid of it (sold it for $75 to the resale shop, grr - wish i had sold it on my own) was because i needed a double seater.
i still miss that stroller. it was the dreamiest thing to push and easy to maneuver and my son LOVED IT!!! had lots of storage, too.

This one would be pricey, but how about the Maclaren Four Seasons? It has easily removable seat liners. Would this work for you or do you need a totall removable SEAT?
Here is a thread about that stroller: http://www.car-seat.org/showthread.php?t=21253&highlight=maclaren+four+seasons

i forgot i have my ultimate FAVORITE stroller (it's called an umbrella fold but it's big when open like a 'traditional' stroller)
i have taken that seat over off/on a few time and laundered it. easy to do, too. (haven't washed it in 6 months or so - when the youngest stopped oozing things on it, lol, so i forgot about the easy clean)
it's called an inglesina zippy and it truly is ONE HAND open and close. mine is over 4 years old and still works like a dream and trust me, it STILL gets a lot of use - even though i have 2 young kids, i carry one in my arms while i stroller the other - works good for 'little' trips - post office, etc. and before i had 2, i used it ALL THE TIME!!!
here's a link. http://www.inglesina.com/us/products/details.php?sectionid=27&itemid=254&PHPSESSID=380db7690e66080041272852a323ece6
i think you're going to find the 'high end' strollers are giong to meet your needs. i think it's the cheap ones that are screwed on seats, etc. All of my strollers have been purchased with longevity in mind. i didn't care if they matched the print of the month or whatever. i went for durability and usefulness. (and weight!) - that inglesina zippy is LIGHT!!!!! I think i paid around $300 for it in 2004, though. i don't remember exactly. i got it from http://arunningstroller.com/ heck, i buy ALL my high end 'stuff' from her. she's a dream to deal with. free shipping, too - if in usa i don't know about other countries and as long as you DON'T live in Florida, there's no sales tax. :)

I don't know what your price rang is but if you hit some of the consignment stores alot of the century strollers had covers that just velcroed in the front.

Wow this is super helpful! I had no idea ANY stroller seat cover could be removed for washing. Now the trick is finding some $ to buy one of these seats. Right now we just go with the $15 umbrella strollers so I"m gonna have to look for a used one on craiglist or something. It really helps to have the names of these strollers though. Thank you guys! Keep em comin!

The Joovy Groove is a bit pricey but it comes with 2 complete sets of seats and canopies (black and a color) so that you can alternate. I'm not sure how easy it is to remove but at least you could always have a clean one. (Actually I just looked at the instruction manual and it has snaps)

Our Quinnys are really easy to clean. Most stuff wipes off, but the covers wash great. I am always amazed at the fact they look brand new after they have been abused! The stroller we use the most is on it's 3rd set of tires and the cover still looks new.

I think my stroller seat comes off to wash but I never bother! I take it out in the back yard and hose the whole thing down, use soapy water and a brush to scrub if necessary, rinse, maybe wipe off the metal and plastic parts (if I feel up to it!) and let the whole thing air dry. So much easier than taking everything apart!
Now if this is something that has to be done between each use for different babies, that's a whole nuther story!
