While I wish I had all Britaxs, I dont! I have two other car seats that need to be installed with locking clips. My belts dont lock. Now with my MA, I get a ROCK solid car rocking install. Is this the standard tightness that I should have the others with locking clips? I tried yesterday and just cannot do it. I flowed the unbuckle, clip, and then buckle method and cant get it rebuckled with as tight as I want/ need it to be. Any suggestions?

How a seat fits is partially related to the seat itself. It's possible your secondary seats just don't fit as tightly in this particular vehicle as the Marathon does. As long as the seat moves less than 1" side to side when tested *at the belt path*, it is acceptable.

Also, I find I need two people to get a truly tight installation with a locking clip: one person to put weight in the seat (bouncing helps) and one person to actually buckle the belt.

I'm not familiar with that era Ford, can you use the lap only belts for your other two seats? (I'm thinking you have two rows of seats with lapbelts in the center?)

I only have one lap belt in the back. The middle row has lap/shoulder belts. Our daughter is in the her MA, my niece is in a Cargo with the lap belt ( in the 5 point not the belt:p) and then my nephew is in a Turbo booster to the left in the 3rd row until I can buy him a Radian or MA. The only seat that I and having a problem with is the Comfort Sport in the middle row. Not only can I not get the locking clip on, but I cant get it installed rear facing. She just turn a year last month. The passenger seat does not move and is too close. The only other thing that I can think of is to put the babies in the back seat rear facing (once I get my lock offs from Britax) and put the older ones in the center row. I would then have to put them in the car from the back of the car.
