DH just installed our Regent with the SBP since DS is 45 lbs and we had the seat uninstalled for service. So I thought we would just go ahead and re-install using the SBP since can only use the LATCH to 48 lbs (2002 Ford Taurus). My question, I know this may seem stupid but we always have got good installs with the LATCH. Does the seat belt go on the outside of the seat? From the manual it appears that it loops up from the back and through the inside of the seat... but from the pictures I have seen on here it looks like the belt laps over the sides of the seat. TIA for any help.

If you're staring at the Regent, head-on, installed in the vehicle and it's installed with the SBP... you will not see the seatbelt lapping over the 'hip'/side of the Regent. You won't really see the seatbelt at all because it is through the interior of the seat (like you said). The pictures that you see where the seatbelt is 'lapped' around the side of the Regent is the LPB install.
Does that help?

Yes! Thank you. That helps. I was thinking it was wrong all this past week.
