DD is 14 months and 24 lbs.

The Ergo is comfortable but takes to long to adjust and get her in for running into stores.

I tried the Peanut Shell Pouch and hated it. No matter how I adjusted it and read the intructions; neither DD or I were comfortable with it.

I am pretty unexperienced with the different kids of carriers/slings so I want some opinions on the Padded Maya Sling as the next thing to try. I am also open to other suggestions.

I just got a mei Tai baby carrier and LOVE it. I can carry Seth (13m) on my back or front. He loves it.
I like it way better then my sling.

From other people I've talked to...the lightly padded maya wrap sling is super easy to use and people really like it. Being a ring sling it's highly adjustable and has quicker poppability than the Ergo.

We have an unpadded Maya ring sling that we like very much. Dh uses it more than I do but just because he wears Ds more often. Its much better than the Ergo for a toddler who wants up then down then up again. Its been our primary sling for about 6 months now. I can wear Ds easily for about an hour straight (like at the zoo where he needs to be in arms to see anything) or most of an afternoon when its broken up time periods (Ds is 18mo and ~23lbs). Dh can last a lot longer.

There was a learning curve to getting tightness and positioning, so I do highly reccomend watching the DVD/video. Dh laughed at me because we have a fairly old version and he thought the Maya was self-explanatory. Still, even after several months of use I picked up some good tips!
