I have been looking at some convertible seats for my daughter, since she is fast approaching that age and came across two... The Combi Avatar & Combi Victoria convertible seats. I know that a lot of people don't either know about them or have them , but if any of you out there do , I'd love some advice! Thanks for the help!! :)

I'm not familiar with these ... we really like Britax. If you want to see a picture of my toddler in an RF convertible that uses a harness up to 65# & 49", you can click the link in my signature. She also rides in Husky in my mom's car {harness from 20-80 pounds} & in my dad's truck she rides in a combination seat -- the Graco Platinum Cargo. It has higher top harness slots than many seats but she can still only use them till 40 pounds, then she has to use it as a booster. The Wizard & Platinum both fit well in every car we've tried, but the Husky is so big it's difficult to get in some American vehicles {because some of them have shorter belts}

that is another one of my concerns that i forgot to add to my initial post. i have a 96 camry sedan, but i had read a review on another website where a parent stated that they had a 98 corolla and the seat fit fine in the middle. it's not like i will be moving her seat once i get it, so its weight isn't an issue.

The Victoria is so new that it hasn't been widely tried out & reviewed yet. Darren reviewed the Avatar here (http://www.car-seat.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=2505). My advice is to try it before you buy or get it from a store with a good return policy, but I can say that if I needed a new convertible, I think the Avatar would be worth looking at.

Remember that the "best" seat is the one that fits your child, fits your vehicle and will be used correctly each and every trip. Try them in person, and determine if either of these seats meet those criteria.
