Picked up new CRV last pm, dh installed Regent in outboard drivers side position using seatbelt (long path) and top tether (ds is 42-43 lbs). There is some movement side to side (maybe 1-2 inches) which I'm not comfortable with. Is this ok?? We had an '06 Trailblazer and had rock solid install using same method. Also confused on safety of top tether being on back of seat (Trailblazer had tether in floor). Sorry for all the questions, just trying to get used to new vehicle/manufacturer (we've always owned GM so this was a big step for us!). TIA Patty

Make sure your Regent isn't part of the recall, that would state you MUST use the recline bar and the short belt path for a kid over 40 pounds. But my fave trick for CR-V's? The seatback reclines... go ahead and recline it a LOT before you install the seat. Then once you get the seatbelt super duper tight, PULL the seatback back up as hard as you can. That usually gets things rock solid. Tether anchors are save in many locations, that's just where Honda wanted to put it. Which is cool, it totally gets it out of the cargo area (In my 99 they were on the back of the ceiling :P)
