okay, just wanted to make sure nothing looks off here, i am not sure howmuch you can tell by pics, but i want to make sure they are in right... i wanted one to go in the middle, but i just cant let them next to each other, it is never good and very stressful  I got 2 rock solid installs, which i am happy about considering i cant stand either one of these seats. And the titan...well it is gone tomorrow and i cant wait, the cover is falling apart, the straps scrape the side of her neck...:( dont mind my really dirty van, i should prob clean it out i guess , and my kids were in the middle of playing in a huge dirt pile, (they are dirtier than the van) they were not too happy about being shoved in the car for pics

i am not sure why that first pic looks so crooked, but it is straight, and in the middle.

Photobucket has a really easy way to resize pics, or to only post a clickable thumbnail image--if you could do that, it would be awesome! I have a really slow internet connection and I've waited forever for the pics to load and so far only the first has shown up. :(

I don't know about the FF tether spot...is that an actual tether anchor??

Your kids are adorable, dirt and all!

yep it is! that is the only reason i have her where i do actually, because there are only tethers for outboard middle row. These pics are still showing up big for me...i am not sure why though. and thanks , i think they are cute too! (albeit filthy)

Make sure you secure any LATCH belts or tethers that aren't in use. You don't want them loose in a crash. Remember the chest clips need to be at armpit level (they both look just a bit high). I can't tell for sure in the rf picture, but make sure the harnesses are at the correct heights (at or above the child's shoulders for ff, at or below shoulders for rf).

Other than that, the installs look okay to me as long as the seats are moving less than 1" (front to back or side to side) at the beltpath.

hmm they are both exactly at armpit level, so i should move them down anyway?

the seats dont budge at ALL. thanks for the advice, i feel much better now that i have better installs then before.

They look great to me! I also noticed what looked like a loose LATCH belt, so make sure all those loose tether straps/LATCH straps are shortened as much as possible and/or clipped out of the way. :) Chest clips look good to me, too. Your older dd looks like she'll be out of that seat soon by height. How old is she?

Looks good. :) I would only add that the chest clip on the Intera looks like it is threaded backwards. The harness strap should go under the back of the clip so it looks like the one here

The installs look good, but as an Intera owner, I noticed the chest clip is threaded incorrectly. The harness strap should pass behind the clip, not over the front. DS is in the Intera in my siggy and you can see how the clip should look.

Also, have you checked your Intera to be sure it was not part of this (http://safetynotice.djgusa.com/alpha-omega-ha/press.php) recall?

it actually is backwards you are right. I was having aton of problems w/ my kiddos escaping and unbuckling their chest clip...when i called safety first (or dorel, whoever they are) they told me to try threading it that way, so they couldnt push the button in. It worked for my son, so i left it that way. SHould i change it back?

it was manufactured in 2006 so i dont think that it is part of the recall.

the latch is clipped to the back of the seat, but i will def shorten the straps, as they are VERY long and everywhere.

She is actually about out of that seat, for both height and weight,(she has about an inch, and 5 lbs to go) i have already picked out an Evenflo triumph deluxe, just need to go pick it up this week :)

thanks for all the advice!!! i really appreciate it!

If they told you to put the chest clip on backwards and it works (keeps him from fiddling with it), then it's ok to leave it that way :)

Don't feel like you need to rush out and buy a new seat this week. The seat isn't recalled or expired, and another inch and 5 lbs can take months.

OTOH, if you want to replace it... well, I'm never one to argue with shopping. ;)

Oh, if you had a Titan, you'd be itchin' to replace it ASAP, as well :D

yeah, that seat truly is a piece of junk. I was all worried about her outgrowing it height wise, because i saw a lot on here that was a common problem....but that is the least of my worries with that blasted seat, i have so many issues with it, i cant WAIT to throw it out :D
