Ford Probe safety

I have a 94 Ford probe and have noticed that car seats do not fit properly in it. I heard that the Probe isn't meant to hold carseats and is unsafe for that reason. Is this true?

If you cannot find any child restraint that fits securely, that IS a problem. I highly suggest visiting a local, certified technician to have them help you with an installation. We can usually get most seats to fit in most vehicles, though there are always some exceptions.

It is quite possible that the Probe has seats that make child seat installation difficult. Unless the owner's manual says it is not able to secure a child seat, it should be safe for one provided you can find one that fits.
