Getting ready to install the RA for my 5.5 mo old. Older DS had it, but I have forgotten a lot of stuff. 2 questions:
It *has* to be in recline mode, right?
I machine washed the cover on a gentle type cycle. I've read that people do that. Just perusing the manual and it said specifically not to. Bad?

Yeah, recline mode.

If you didn't noticeably damage the cover by washing it, it's fine, IMO (they say don't machine wash it because some dip will invariably throw it in with an overload of towels and bleach and a HOT dryer and wreck the anti flammability or melt the elastic... most of us gently wash ours carefully, I know my machine is more gentle than what I can do with my hands to a heavy wet cover in a sink, lol)

whew, thanks! Yep, that was the only thing in there--gentle detergent (all free and clear) and the only thing is that the big warning patch has some small tears, but it has looked worn for awhile since DS had the seat for 2.5 years--I don't think it's from the washing machine. It's a little "crusty" from air drying, but I assume it'll soften up.

I wonder how this seat is going to fit RF? We have a Regent on the other side, so it has to be outboard. And I was looking forward to getting a titch of legroom back--or at least being able to recline *my* seat the teensiest bit. :o

I helped a dad of twins put RA's in his Volvo, and his seat went back so much further than he could with the Snugrides, it was TOO far! (He was TALL, lol). Oh yeah, you're in for some fine legroom :)
