I saw today at wal-mart that they have the pink scenera and 2 no-back boosters from cosco--one is sports and the other flowers I think. I was so excited to see carseats that weren't black or beige. I also saw a 5pt Arriva which I have never seen before.

Yes, the weekly sales flyer has the pink Scenera advertised on the second page for $90. Yay!! What a great affordable seat in a nice pattern...finally! $90 is still pretty steep for a carseat if you honestly cannot afford it. I know many people around here that would be tempted to purchase a seat in the US since we are so close to the border. I am very curious to see if our local store has received the pink Sceneras.
On the same page the AO is advertised for $134.77. Afterall, it does convert to a booster! Nice to see the Vision advertised for $100. I know they also have the Bolero for $120.
Thumbs down on all those backless booster prints for $20. I know there are a lot of 4 year olds sitting in those things when they could easily be harnessed...

LOL, I had posted within the last week about wal-mart having the Daisy Scenera. :p
I saw the big display in the aisle with the $90 sign when we were there a few days ago. Not that I've actually seen the cover irl, but just looking at it through the box it makes me wish I had reason to buy one. (If it was $40, I'd probably find a reason. Lucky for my wallet we don't live in the US with so many options that are so much less expensive. Not to mention dd probably has outgrown it already. )
I still keep hoping to see the SS1 show up in Wal-mart. Our Wal-mart has had the 5pt arriva for a couple months now I think.. it's not really that much cheaper than the embrace though...

Saw that ad too, and thought the scenera was super cute, but still mighty expensive compared to the us version, which for me is readily available only 10 minutes away.... I had to give a big huge thumbs down to the backless boosters though - especially since they had advertised them as "fashion boosters", they are not a fashion accessory, they are a safety item:eek:

oh, that's exciting, maybe I can find one for my friend's DD, we're buying her one for her B-day next month, unless we get a massive thumbs down from her DH, please oh please Lord let us do this.
We only need 2 other ppl to pitch $20 each, and I'll put in 30, and the tax, if we can't find a 5th person to go in with us.
