I am looking for suggestions on which car seats fit well RF in a Dodge Durango. We have had difficulty with our infant carseats fitting behind the driver and passenger seats due to my and my husband's long legs. In order to fit properly, we are all scrunched up while driving. Perhaps not the safest way to drive. I am liking the Britax Marathons and the Radians due to the higher weight limit but I wonder how they would fit in our vehicle. Does anyone have experience fitting a Durango with seats?
Our other vehicle is a Jeep Grand Cherokee. Would either of these seats fit both well?
My babies are only 16 lbs and 9 months old so they will be RF for quite some time yet.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

At nine months old, your children no longer require a perfect 45 degree angle. That angle is for newborns to ensure that their airways stay open... due to their floppy heads. ;)
For older children with good head control, anywhere between 30 - 45 degrees is fine. A more upright install is actually safer for them.
The Radian is fairly difficult to get a more upright angle. If your seats are fairly sloped down to the back of the vehicle, you may be able to get a more upright angle with the Radian quite easily. I can personally get a 28 degree angle in my Dodge Grand Caravan before I attach the top rear facing tether and adjust the angle down to 30 degrees.
The Marathon is super simple to get a more upright angle.
Both seats are fantastic. The Radian will give you about 1 - 2 inches of extra harness height for your kids over the Marathon. The Radian can be a tricky install at times, but once you've practiced with it, it's really not that bad to pretty easy.
I would go to Canadian Tire or a baby boutique store near you and try out the Radian in your vehicle. I know that a Marathon will fit no problem, but you may want to try and find one in real life just to check it out as well.
At only 9 months, the babies will be rearfacing for a looonnng time. I like to see them a minimum of 2 years old before they are turned forward, so it's important to find a seat that will give you comfortable room in the front seat as well.
