Has anybody gotten any questions from salespeople or had their car seats undergo an "inspection" before they were accepted to be returned at the store?
We've got a couple to return after 2 months, and one of them has a bit of wear on the base (from rubbing on the buckle when we go over bumps?:shrug-shoulders:). I'm hoping we won't have any trouble returning them. Other than the wear on the one seat on the base, they're both in pristine condition.

Many stores won't accept returns on carseats, especially if the warranty card and other tags have been removed. No offense to you, but I am glad most stores won't accept returns. Some people may try to return seats that have been in accidents.

Canadian Tire never even opened the box when we took back the radian we had bought back before getting ds his SS1. (That was back in March and we'd had it a week I think when we decided we wanted to keep him in a carrier for awhile longer.)
Sears has a 60 or 90 day satisfaction guaranteed or money refunded policy, so I wouldn't think you'd have problems there.
I'm not sure what either store does with the returned seats though. :shrug-shoulders:
Did your princesses arrive?

I don't think DH had a problem returning the 3in1 he brought back to canadian tire that had wear on the bottom, from sliding on the floor while I was playing with it. That alone worried me about the seat though, no other seat I've seen has ever looked that scratched after a few minutes on laminate flooring.

No. I've been (impatiently) waiting for them, and I called the baby boutique about the Princesses when I noticed Babyproofingplus had them in stock already. I was told that they hadn't put the order through yet  but they'd be placing an order in a day or two since I put a deposit on them (almost 2 months ago!).
They were due to be shipped last week, which means they *should* be here this week. I sure hope so! I never thought I'd be so excited about getting a couple of car seats.
I returned the one extra seat that's never been used (I had 3) to Sears this am with no problem whatsoever. They also didn't bother to open the box, and yes - I've also wondered what they do with returned product... especially returned car seats.

Man, I'd been sure your princesses were in. I was in e-children the other day and they have their princesses, so I figured baby sam would've had them too. (I know how you feel about e-children though, so here's hoping baby sam gets theirs in quickly.) I'm sure it's getting harder and harder to wait. (And I'd be just as excited, so no worries about that one..lol)

You're kidding! Jeez, if I'd known Baby Sam hadn't put their order in when they said they would (which is when I put a deposit on them), I may very well have gotten over my problem with e-children long enough to run in, get my Princesses, and get out of there!
Oh well, I should be getting them this week...

LOL, when I saw it I thought of you and figured you probably had yours too. Here's hoping it's tomorrow or Tuesday. I know PJM distribution ships things UPS, so I'd think the store would get it within a few days. (My replacement for the short strapped radian was here 3 days after Russ said it had been sent.)
Does dd1 know what her new car seat is going to look like yet? She's going to love that pink. :D

at bru you have 90 days to return your products and it doesnt matter what you have done to them, with car seats, they cant put them out unless they are in the box with all the tags, if its out of the box then they simply return it to there distributor and we knows what happens with it, but the bru people dont know anything they once returned a car seat from target.com that they dont carry in the store, and gave the lady the money in credit.

Yes, she does - I've shown her several pictures of them! She's now started saying "I don't like this carseat" (the one she's got right now) because I keep saying it. You were right when you said some people don't like that single strap system: that single belt that runs on both sides (I'm obviously not into all the carseat lingo :D) is a huge PITA. I keep having to shift her around, and pull on one of the straps to get it to fit correctly every time.
I can't wait to get the new ones. I've got no problems whatsoever with DD2's Radian, except for the fact those cushions which come with the Premier will come in real handy when she falls asleep in her seat!
Hey - did you ever make that loaf recipe? Was it as much of a hit at your house?

Yep, those front adjusters are a huge PITA... but at least your dd is tall enough it adjusts properly on her. And your new seats will be here any day. I was so hoping today was the day... I think I'm almost as excited as you..lol.

Not yet. I had old bananas to use up first, then no carrots in the house. :o I have it put up on my fridge though, I should buy some carrots in the next couple days and make it. I know dd will love it though, and dh gobbles pretty much anything I make, so I'm sure he'll love it too.
(Me cooking is a rarity these days as dh likes to dump things in the kitchen when he comes home from work and I hate cooking in a messy kitchen and rarely have time to clean before baking. )
