A friend wants to make fleece buntings and add legs to them to use in the car seat. I told her it was a no-no. She doesnt understand. It will wrap around the baby completly then they will add legs so it will be like a lightweight snowsuit. I need links or something to let her know it isnt okay....
Thanks

I'm kind of confused by your description. Would this be a garment that the child would wear, or something that they plan to leave installed in the car seat that would interfere with the harness straps.
I purchased a lightweight fleece "snowsuit" from Target last winter for my DD. It was no thicker than a fleece jacket. I did check to make sure her wearing it did not introduce slack into her harness. I tightened the harness with her wearing the fleece and then took her our without loosening the harness. After placing her back into the seat without the fleece I did the pinch test - no extra slack. So I felt comfortable using the lightweight fleece "snowsuit."
Now something like a JJ Cole Bundle Me would not be okay.
