I'm going to move to Australia with two young children, who are 3 and 5 years old. Could I still use the car seats bought form US and Canada? Thanks

Re-post this in the "Canadian and International Issues" section. There is a lady who posts there who is in NZ and I think she has some US seats.. I think NZ allows the use of carseats from different countries.. I am sure she can help you.

I'm Australian and I live here in the US. DS can use his car seat there because we are just visiting. If we were to move there, I would need to get an Australian seat with the Standards Australia label. Their standards are different. Let me find the Australian web site that says this...

I have a problem with the Australian standards - no harnessed seats past approx 40lbs. So if we were to move there and DS could still use our BV, I probably would keep using it, - but that's my parental decision. You have to consider that it's illegal and there could be insurance ramifications.
