I have a few concerns:

I can't decide between buying a new britax or a new radian for my infant that needs to switch carseats.

My 2.5 year old is in a radian 65 FF and tethered. I realized that you have to tether the radian to get a snug fit.

The new britax comes with a d-ring but the radian doesn't. Can you buy d-rings?

How would you tether a radian RFing?

I worry that my infant will follow my 2 year old foots steps and be 40 inches by 2.5 and out grow the britax quickly.

I also worry that the radian won't have a good recline because of the high back.

What should I do?

Help! I can't seem to pick a car seat.

The radian should come with a d-ring. They also call it the tether connecting strap and it is only for rf installs. See page 29 of your manual (http://www.skjp.com/Media/Radian65-manual.pdf). As far as the rf recline, it's pretty set at 45 degrees. You have to use the rf boot and that makes it hard to get too far from that angle.

Thanks I found the c-strap it was inside the base to the radian.

I tried it RF and it does not work in my car. I love the radian for my ff 2.5 year old. Now I can take the RAdian off my list for my infant.

Now I need to decide between the recaro signo or the marathon Britax. I wish I could try the signo in my car before buying it.

I can't wait to see reviews on the signo. I hope my infant will last in her carrier until then.

What kind of car do you have? If you're concerned about rf tethering, I'd hold off on the Recaro seats. There has been some confusion surrounding the information coming from their customer service department.

I also just wanted to ask about your comment of the tether being needed to stabilize the radian's install.

Before you tighten the tether, do you have no more than 1" of movement side to side or front to back when you hold the seat shell right at the belt path with one hand and try to move it?

You need a good installation at the belt path before attaching the top tether. The top tether provides added top stability and decreases head excursion. It can also hide a poor install if it's tightened up before the seatbelt is properly tightened, so I just wanted to mention this in case you weren't aware.
