We're European, but all children were born in the US. My 9-month old twins now ride in RF MA (one 10/04 and one 04/06) and my oldest will be in a Radian 65 FF soon (she's now in a Safe Rider Vest).

My children are all above average weight / height. My oldest was 39lbs and 40 1/2 inches at 3 yo (top slots Marathon), which was 4 months ago (the other day she weighed a little over 40lbs) and my twins were 23lbs / 29 1/2 inches (75-90% for boys) and 21lbs7oz and 29 inches (90% for girls).

According to Dutch law, my oldest would be in a booster (+18kg) which I don't agree with.

We'll be importing our US specs Volvo XC90 and plan to use the car seats that we have, 2 ERF twins in MA and my oldest in her Radian.

I know that the seats are not approved for the European market but I feel I don't have a choice ... according to local law my twins would be FF way too early and my oldest would be in booster at age 3 ...

With the seats that I have the twins could probably be FF until age 5-6 (one MA and the Radian) and my oldest could be in a booster when the smallest twin outgrows the MA (or when she outgrows the Radian). That's a way better and safer scenario than sticking to Dutch law.

However, I am doing something "illegal" ... WWYD?

Thanks,
Franca

I would probably be doing exactly what you are doing... especially seeing as you will have a US vehicle with US seats in it then.
