We are car shopping and looking at the 4 dr Honda Civic. We have a Regent but have not been able to try it out in the Civic, anyone have any experience with this combo? How is the fit? Is there leg room for child when drivers seat is back?. TIA, Patty

I can EASILY fit a Regent in my 4-door '06 Civic. :)

My Husky (renamed Regent) fit our 2-door 1997 Civic HX :)

I have a 2 door '99 Civic, it easily fits space-wise, and although it doesn't leave a lot of room for people over say, 5'5" tall in the seat in front of it, he sits comfortably. I wasn't thrilled with the install when I when to put it in after a kindly CPST drove all the way to my house to deliver it to me and put it in. :) I realized that the buckle is actually in the belt path some, which bothers me. But long belt path works beautifully. And both those issues may be very different in a newer Civic - and 2000 and later Civics are slightly bigger, as well. So space should definitely not be an issue.

I am assuming (perhaps wrongly) that you are looking at newer Civics? What year?

If you are looking at very new Civics (the newest body-style, which began in 2006), you shouldn't have a problem at all. They fit very easily in the new Civics.

I actually haven't yet found a single seat that is too big for my Civic. I have had LOTS of different seats in my Civic and haven't had a single problem. :)

GOod luck!
