Do you have to use the recline bar on a Regent? I recently tried a Regent out in my 95 Taurus and I think the fit would be better if I didn't need to use the recline bar. Thanks!

Yes. At one time it was thought to be optional, but Britax has said it is required in all cases. See page 2 here (http://www.britaxusa.net/support/documents/REG_ConsrAdviy_ProdUpdate_Ltr.pdf).

But to make it even more confusing
Page 2 (http://www.britaxusa.net/support/documents/REG_ConsumerAdvisory_QA2.pdf) of the Q&A page retracts the 'requirement' of the recline bar if you have a DOM prior to 18 June. They leave the decision up to the parent about the old/new methods if the seat does not work in the vehicle.
Pay no attn. to the end of the page where it still says that the recline bar MUST be used still -- When they added the old method is just as good as it always has been, they neglected to modify or delete the 'mandatory' statement.
So the answer can be "No- you don't have to use it." too.
