We live in Oklahoma, where it can get really hot, and I might purchase an Onyx Regent. How hot will this fabric really get in the heat of the summer?

Also, after searching through he numerous threads, I have not been able to find if the Regent will fit in a 2007 Odyssey in the 2nd row captain's chairs. DS will be 4 in October, but he is only 33-34 lbs, so I will need to know if all of the different configurations will work.

Thanks for your help!

We have an Onyx regent in ARIZONA!! (where it averages 115 on summer days)

No issues here!

I have an 05 ody, and it fits perfect!

We have an Onyx Regent in FL - where it is stifling hot most of the year....no problems. It actually seems to be a bit cooler than our Ashley Floral on the Marathon. Dd has never complained about it.

It will fit in the Odyssey, yes.

We have it in Onyx and we've had less problem with heat than the other seats. I don't know why, maybe because the part that the child sits in is actually a plastic type material, not soft and possible heat absorbing.

We've been okay with it and my daughter doesn't sweat, so that's saying a lot.

Your best bet is to call locally. go on Britax's site, and call all the authorized dealers, and see what they have.

Good luck! ;)

This is a little OT but related to the Onyx. I thought that the Onyx would have microsuede on the sides (black part) like the Sahara does, but when I saw one in person, it felt more like a poly-velour...? Anyone have one with microsuede or are they all the same? That other fabric seems to bother me more than the windbreaker-type material down the center - LOL! Thanks :)
