Did the Marathon always have the hugs? A friend of mine has a Marathon that is probably 4/5 years old. She does not have hugs on it. She uses it for her FF facing 2 year-old. Should there be Hugs, or is it just something Britax has added in the last few years.

I know the Roundabouts don't have them, could she maybe have that seat?

But yes, the HUGS are required for Forward-facing. Have her call Britax and order some :)

I'm pretty sure it's always had them- or at least would have when her seat was made. Weren't the HUGS added for ff because a different Britax seat failed testing on head excursion? That was longer than 4-5 years ago.

Yes, Marathons have always had HUGS. Please encourage her to get replacement HUGS as soon as possible for her forward facing little one.

That is what I thought, but wanted to make sure. I'll will try to point her in the right direction.

I have a 2003 marathon and it came with HUGS.

Definitely have her order some (although they are way overpriced at about $12/pair after shipping).
