I just switched my 1 year old from FF to RF!!!
I installed my MA rear facing in my car and it is moving at least 2-3" in either direction. I tightened the latch things as tight as possible but I did not tether the top because I dont know how to.
Another question,I have an '06 honda accord. the latch peices I am using in the center are really the two inner connectors from the outside seats. Is that okay or should I use the seatbelt if I want the carseat in the center.
Thanks for your help

Most vehicles do not allow you to use LATCH in the middle position. The way you can tell if you can use it or not is to simply read your vehicle Owner's manual. It will tell you in there.
I am pretty sure you cannot, so you will need to use your vehicle Seatbelt if that is the case.
Your MA has built-in locks so you can just use those. Again, read your owner's manual to your Marathon and it will give you detailed instructions for rear-facing install using seatbelt.
It may help to actually put yourself in the seat while you are tightening it. That extra weight will help get the carseat nice and tight. Again the seat should not move more than an inch from side to side front to back AT the beltpath.

We anchored ours to the front passengers seat. We used the d ring connector and connected that to the metal part that is bolted down to the floor. You just wrap it around the leg and slip the metal part through the loop. then connect that to the hook at the end of the strap that is connected to the top of the seat. check out this page to get an idea what we did. Our car is old so we do not even have latch. But your manual will tell you if you can use the inner ones. I know my moms ford said not to. Also if you use the center lap belt you can use the lock off furthest from the belt clip and that helps keep it stable . Ours does not budge at all! Using only a lapbelt and tethering it to the front seat. Oh and using one lock off.

What is a D ring connector?
A D ring is a strap with a peice of metal attached (similar to the tongue of your seatbelt) with a hole in it. You can wrap this around the base of a seat leg or seatbelt stalk in front of the seat the CR is on and tether to it.

There is an example of how one is used in this (http://www.car-seat.org/showthread.php?t=21395) thread. HTH
