Hi there! I have a 6 year old in a new Graco booster seat (high back seat). My question is this: When he is riding in his booster seat with the seat belt clicked in, do I pull the seat belt all the way out so it retracts back into place and "locks", or do I just leave it be? I have been having him pull it out all the way so it ratches back and "locks". I'm not sure if this is correct, or if I should allow it to automatically lock when it needs to, like the driver and front passenger seat belts do? Any help would be appreciated, Thank you!

Either is fine. If he sits well (stay in position) without the belt being locked, it might be more comfortable not to lock it. If he wiggles a little, I would lock it to help remind him to stay in position.

Ditto.
My daughter prefers to lock hers simply because she's used to the harness & wants that extra snug security, but with the other kids in our family, I just tell them that if I catch them leaning out or causing slack in the belt they will have to engage the retractor.
