I will be having my baby this Oct and I have two other daughters, one will be 4 mos shy of 3 yrs old and the other will be 14 mos old. Can someone suggest a stroller that would work well for us? Thanks!!

Do you need an everyday stroller for malls and stores and such? Or do you need an all-terrain stroller?

1) The triple joggers are WIDE, but will keep all three in a stroller.

2) The Peg Perego Triplette is BIG, but would keep all three in a stroller.

3) Or, you could get a double stroller and attach a Buggy Board (or Kiddy Board) to the double. Your two younger children can ride in the stroller and your oldest can ride on the Buggy Board.

4) Get a double stroller and sling/Bjorn/Ergo (WEAR) the baby until the oldest is more able to walk at all times.

Maybe the Joovy Big Caboose?

Or a double side x side with a kiddie board on the back for your older child to ride on? Like this one with the hitchhiker on the back:

What is a buggy board? They just stand on it? The Joovy actually looks like something that might be good because im sure my oldest would like to sit. Do you know how comfortable that seat is?

I know it has a pad on it. and a platform to stand.

The Twin Trimode Runabout can also accomadate a toddler seat like this:

Here are a few others that are available

We have the Valco Twin Runabout (predecessor to Twin Trimode) with the toddler seat, and we LOVE it. Here's a pic with our kids in the stroller, to give you a better sense of how children actually fit in it. The boys were 8.5 months old and about 19 pounds each, and our daughter was 2.5 and about 24.5 pounds.

The toddler seat does have a harness that goes over the shoulders, if you feel you need it.

The stroller LOOKS huge, but in practice it turns on a dime and has fit through all doorways I've tried (the Americans with Disabilities Act mandates 30" for wheelchair access, and the stroller is 29").

Be warned, though, that 35 lbs of stroller + kid 1 + kid 2 + kid 3 = a lot of weight to push around. Hills can be a killer. All triple- or triple-like strollers are heavy, though, there's no way around that.

We use the Valco for big outings to the zoo and the like. We have a lightweight double (Maclaren Twin Triumph) that I use for errands.

Oh, and I would think hard before buying the big Joovy. I've never tried it myself, but based on other strollers I've pushed I'd expect it to handle like a big, heavy bus. I really think most people would hate it.

I have no recommendation per say other than to echo the pp thoughts about trying the Joovy before you buy! Some people have no issues with the handle, but it just was completely the wrong angle/height for me (5'9"). The regluar Caboose jump seat is pretty good so I would imagine it would be equally padded on the biggie.

good luck and congrats!

Wanted to add that there are some buggy board models that flip up out of the way when not in use. Your oldest is probably going to want to ride for a while longer so I really like an option like the Valco that can convert from 2 to 3 and back again and then pop on a buggy board for when she's older.

Just to give you an idea, this is taken from Joovy's webpage:
Words of caution (we’re good, but not that good…):
The Big Caboose is not a small stroller. When folded, with the front tray and canopy, it is 63 ” long by 14" high by 21.5" wide and weighs 37 lbs, so you will most likely need an SUV or a car with a large trunk to transport. (When folded without front tray and canopy, the Big Caboose is 55" long.)

The Big Caboose is not an automated stroller, and while it is designed to hold up to 120 lbs, you will be required to push the stroller and its contents. The sealed bearing wheels are designed to make this task easier, but not effortless. http://www.joovy.com/pages/pd_bigcaboose.php

Deminsions for the Joovy:
Open 44.25"H x 21.5"W x 55"L
Folded 14"H x 21.5"W x 63"L
Maximum passenger weight (per seat) 40lbs & back seat/platform 45lbs
Overall stroller weight 37 lbs

Here are the tri-mode deminsions:
Runabout Tri-Mode Twin Open 28"W x 37"L
Handle Adjusts from 30"H to 41.5"H
Runabout Tri-Mode Twin Folded 28"W x 29"L x 18"H
Folded wheels removed 27"W x 26"L x 16"H
Maximum passenger weight (per seat) 45 lbs
Overall stroller weight 33 lbs

Maximum weight in toddler seat for tri-mode 45 lbs

Good luck finding a stroller & Congratulations on the new addition to your family!
