After reading another thread, I think that I'm going to get a 86 Y harness with the fisher price safe voyage booster for the three year old I watch after he outgrows the BV, but I have a few questions...
My tether anchors are on the ceiling of my car and rated to 60 lbs, but if I wanted to mount their tether anchor with the harness does anyone know where I would mount that? I drive a 2005 Subaru Outback Wagon.

If I use the harness in a lap/shoulder belt area with the locking clip, will I have to readjust the locking clip everytime I use the seat?

Also, does anyone have pictures of the booster in a three across siuation? The booster would have to be between a rf or ff BV and a rf Regal Ride. I can't find one in the store to try it out, but I think if anything is going to work back there, this is it.

You'll get the best answers by contacting the manufacturer > www.ezonpro.com :) Please do share with us what you learn!

Yeah, call them and ask...but how long do you think it might take that three year old to hit 60 pounds? Is he a big guy now? If not, it could be like 5 more years, at least (56 pounds being the average weight of an 8 yo...)

He is a big guy, but not that big (40-42 lbs. 41 inches). ;) I was just curious. You guys always know the answers to things like this so I thought I would throw it out there. :) I'm sure by the time he hit 60 pounds I would feel comfortable with him riding in just a booster in my car.
I'm more interested in any pictures of this booster in action next to other seats and how easy it is to use the harness with the locking clip.

Can't help on the booster question, but the locking clip stays on. So no, you don't have to re-install the locking clip every time. If YOU are the one unbuckling, you may not even have to re-thread the buckle through the harness every time. (You just make sure when you unbuckle that the locking clip catches the harness and it "hangs." Then you can undo the chest clip and the child can pull the harness over his head to get out. My son, however, prefers to undo himself and prefers to un-thread the belt. Which is fine, because he then re-threads it himself when he gets back in. I still have to buckle him because the locking clip gets in the way of him buckling himself, but he's determined to figure it out and keeps practicing!)

Thanks! That sounds easy enough....now if only I could reach my hand inbetween the booster and the seat installed next to it to get the seatbelt buckled.

I found the Safe Voyage Booster at Burlington Coat Factory clearanced for $39.99!!!!! However, it has a DOM of 01/06 . But for $40 off I can get over it. Problem is when I put it in the center of my backseat, there is no way I could buckle and unbuckle it. When I tried to put it outboard, I could not get the ff BV and rf Regal Ride to install side by side. The Regal Ride pushes on the BV and makes them both crooked (same happens with BV rf and regal ride ff). The BV also has to be in the center because the raised base makes it easy to unbuckle the booster's seat belt. I do remember though that I was able to get a Roundabout and Wizard side by side in my car in the same scenario. Is there a cheaper seat that has the same shape as a Britax convertible?

On a side note: I was able to get all three seats back there forward facing. :D
