My car is going back in the shop :(
Thankfully, my brother is in CA for the summer and left his car here. Anyone have either of these seat in this car? Both seats will be FF. Will I need a locking clip? I know the Radian can be a PITA, so I'm a little worried.
Thanks for any help!

The Radian was absolutely impossible for me to install in my 1997 Civic HX 2 door -- but the FPSVD works great! The Scenera also installs fine in the 97 Civic (needs a pool noodle for an infant)

No experience, but I'd appreciate if you could post back with how you found the Radian. I have a friend with a 99 4 dr civic and I'm wondering if it's worth recommending the Radian to her. I wouldn't be able to see her to help with the install in all likelihood, so I won't even suggest it if it's obviously not going to work.

I don't know if there are any significant changes between the 1997 & 1999 models (not to mention 2 door vs. 4 door) but the reason I couldn't get the Radian installed is because the outboard seats have buckles that are forward of the bight (impossible for any seat except the Husky/Regent because of the reverse belt path install option) & Coscos tend to fit OK over the center hump to use the lap only belt -- the Radian base is just too flat to accomodate that narrow high bump....

OK, I could not get it tight. DH and I tried for 20 minutes and even twisted the buckle stalk, it would not get tight.
I did get a good install with DS's FPSVD and DD's AO,but she is exactly even with the top slot (not the booster slot, of course :) )
I guess I could swap them while we use this car, but DS LOVES his new seat!

Oh, that's too bad to hear. I just googled the model history for the civice and it looks like the design stood pat for the most part between 1996 and 2000 - at least according to the history on Edmunds. Though I don't know if there was a difference in interiors between trim levels. Maybe if I go searching I can find a picture of the backseat...lol.
