SORRY!!! Must have been my computer. I turned it off and back on again and now I can access chat no problem.
Crazy macs... you switch from a PC to a mac and you are not supposed to have any problems, right? ;) :D

Safari... although I also have Firefox. This is the first time it's done anything to me.

That chat room is only accessible to those who are senior community members and/or technicians. I believe the requirement (to be a senior member) is 4 months and 50 posts, or something in that vicinity.
So, start posting, asking questions, etc, and in a few months you can join us in chat, okay? :D

There are some tips here if you are having technical issues with the chat room:

Try entering the Chat room not the floating chat.

Aside from the suggestions in the previous link, I don't really know what else to suggest. You might try searching the forums and support center at support.addoninteractive.com . You can possibly find resolutions to other issues there. For example, if you are running Windows Vista, there is this to try:
http://support.addoninteractive.com/index.php?action=kb&article=53
They have a troubleshooter here:
http://support.addoninteractive.com/index.php?action=trouble_shooter
You can browse their knowledgebase here:
http://support.addoninteractive.com/index.php?action=kb
There forums are here:
http://forums.addoninteractive.com/index.php
I hope that helps! In that you are getting an error message, it doesn't sound like it is a problem with your forum user account. I checked that and it looks OK. The chat room is completely owned and operated by addonInteractive. You can also contact them here if none of those solutions work:

Still can't access chat room. Am I the only person with this problem? Am I just missing something that is an obvious fix:confused:.
I have talked to addoninteractive & they said there was nothing they could do for me, I am now talking to Java to see what gives. All the tests Java recommends works, but I stll can not get in???

I don't know what else to suggest. It is definitely a technical issue and not one related to your account settings. Just to make sure, can you try logging in on a separate computer or two?

Could it be overzealous spyware/spam blocker/virus protection that is stopping you? Do those programs allow you to have javascript access? What other java sites do you use? Chat? Games? etc?

Have you tried completely uninstalling JAVA, then downloading the latest version? I had to do this to fix my acrobat reader problems.
(You'll need to actually use the uninstall program feature from I think it's the control panel? Don't remember off the top of my head.)
