Back seat in '07 Quest has one tether hook. I have two Marathons on that seat (Snugride in one captain seat in middle, other captain seat folded flat for easy access to back seat to buckle kids in). Can I tether both seats to that one spot? If not, can I get other installed?

No, you can't tether to the one point. It's not safe. The Marathons don't need to be tethered. I would do that rather than install them incorrectly.
You cannot get more tethers installed (and thank you for being the first person to require me to open my new LATCH manual).
I'm going to test drive a Quest this afternoon. What do you think of it?

Can I tether one seat? The hook is in the middle, both seats are outboard. Should I tether the heavier child?
And about the Quest. Honestly... I freaking love it! And I will be the first to admit I (not to mention DH) was ANTI ANTI ANTI minivans from day one (mostly for our own vain reasons). But I tell you, of all the vans out there (and we've been researching for months, the Quest is by far the most stylish. It handles wonderfully. 5-star crash test rating. It has lots of umph to it. And most importantly, plenty of room and at the right price (which were ultimately the deciding factors for us). My favorite features are the rear-backing sensors (standard), power sliding and hatch doors (heaven-sent, I tell you!), flat-folding seats, the captains chairs, and the DVD system (included 6 CD changer). All of the seats are super roomy and Of course, you can get all fancy shmancy with a BOSE sound system and leather and roof windows, etc. but we got what we needed and it's not breaking the bank with payments OR gas. So far, I'm a fan!
P.S. I've been meaning to PM you about CPST classes. I'm in NC, too.
