Hello,
I recently purchased a Roundabout for my soon to be born nephew. I tried to install it yesterday in my SIL's Corolla. I installed it RFing center using the LATCH positions on the side. However, I was unable to find a spot for a RFing tether anywhere.
What do I need to do in order to get the rock solid, shake the whole car install I want?
TIA
Amanda

Check your manual and make sure that you CAN use the LATCH positions from the side. Some cars specifically forbid this.

Use the D-ring that came with the seat, and loop it around a part of one of the front seats that is bolted to the floor. Then attach the top tether to that. If you have trouble finding a place to put the D-ring, take a photo :)

We have a 2003 Toyota Corolla. You cannot use latch in the center seat, only in the 2 outboard ones. However, you can get a great seatbelt install with the Roundabout in the center position.

Yep, center use of lower anchors ("borrowing" the inner anchors from the outboard positions) is not allowed by Toyota.

Use the seatbelt instead, and hopefully someone familiar with rear-facing tethering in a Corolla can chime in. :)

We have DDs RF MA outboard with LATCH in our 2006 Corolla. I couldn't get it installed to my satisfaction in the center with the lap/shoulder belt, so I opted for outboard with LATCH.

It is tethered to the inside leg of the front passenger seat using the d-ring. I had to use a chopstick to poke it through the space, but it went.
