Does anyone have the safeseat in any of the shinier fabrics(pierson, roxy)? How does it feel to the touch? Does it bother your dc?

Also, does anyone have any real life pictures of any of the fabrics?

Thanks

I had the pierson and while I personally thought it was ugly the fabric was actually nicer in person. I like the feel of the softer fabrics but in real life they are a pita to clean if you spill. I don't think the fabric on the pierson was scratchy at all and was really easy to wipe clean.

We had the Roxy pattern. Loved the seat! It wasn't as breathable or plush as the Britax seats, but my DS2 never complained. Easy to wipe clean also.

Same here. We had the Roxy cover, and no complaints here.

We also had the Roxy pattern for ds. Here is a pic of him:

He never "complained" in it. I did fine him a little sweaty from time to time on his head, but we also live in south Louisiana, so we have hot, humid summers. Hope that helps. I have more pics of closer up (like you can see the material) I would be glad to share through PM if you want.

Thank you all for the replies and pictures, that definitely helped. I was just most concerned about the fabric being irritating and it sounds like that wasn't a problem for anyone.

Thanks

I just got the SafeSeat in Ionic yesterday for Bean the Third (due in August). It's definitely a 'shiny material', but it doesn't seem like it would be itchy or irritating. My only concern is that it will hold heat, so I'll need to remember to drap a towel over the seat in the car this summer.

Here's an up-close... http://picasaweb.google.com/joolstag/LeahInCarseats/photo#4982070051963207698

We've never disliked it (Pierson), it's shinier, but no 'rougher' than any of her other seats... easy to remove and wash the cover, too!

I have the ss in my siggy, the fabric is not breathable, but I don't notice ds having any reaction to it. I like it, and the straps are AWESOME. I would have to try really hard to twist them.
